A Sunday of Praise!

Psalm 103 calls us to remember all of God’s benefits, and the greatest one is salvation. It is easy to thank God for a job, a home, or good health, but none of those things saved your soul. David commanded his own soul to praise God, reminding himself that circumstances change but God does not. Salvation is not a single act but a full work of God: He chose us, called us, regenerated us, granted us repentance, gave us faith, justified us, adopted us, sanctifies us, keeps us, and will one day glorify us completely. Because the world did not give us salvation, the world cannot take it away. Our praise should be rooted in what He has done, not in how our circumstances feel.
