The Book of Hebrews 11:17-19 – Putting the Promise on the Altar!

Faith is not only about receiving from God. Sometimes it requires giving back the very thing He promised you. In Genesis 22, God calls Abraham to place Isaac, the son of promise, on the altar. Abraham obeyed without delay, called it worship, and trusted that God was able to raise Isaac from the dead if necessary. His confidence was not in the gift but in the God who gave it. The promise does not come before the Promiser. God may be calling you right now to lay something down, and the life after that surrender is better than the life before it.
