The Book of Hebrews 11:4 – The Faith of Abel, the Rebellion of Cain
The story of Cain and Abel reveals the eternal conflict between faith and rebellion from humanity’s first generation. Abel’s sacrifice was accepted because it was offered by faith, while Cain’s heart harbored rebellion despite his religious actions. Abel worshiped with excellence even in difficult circumstances, giving God his best despite family dysfunction and persecution. His example teaches us that true worship requires faith, not just religious routine. God looks at our hearts first, seeking genuine faith over perfect performance. Abel’s faithful witness still speaks today, reminding us to worship by faith and give God our very best regardless of circumstances.
