The Word in the Life of the Household

It is easy to let life crowd out the One who gave you everything. Deuteronomy 6 calls God’s people to a faith that goes far beyond Sunday mornings, placing His Word at the center of every conversation, decision, and season of life. True hearing is not passive. It produces action, shapes the home, and keeps God in His rightful place as the root of everything. One of the greatest dangers we face is not hardship but blessing, because prosperity has a way of making us forget the God who provided it. Whatever you have, whether a career, a family, or financial stability, it is a gift from above and a reason for gratitude, not self-sufficiency. Keep God first, not as a branch you reach for in emergencies, but as the foundation from which everything else grows.
