Becoming A Member of CRC
We are excited about welcoming you into our fellowship! Below is our membership process. We believe every member of the Body of Christ should be members in a local church. The church is where we come together to worship Christ, where you are taught the Scriptures and held accountable so you can grow, and where you develop Godly friendships and begin to express your gifts. It is where you partake in the Lord's Supper and where you experience baptism. It is where the saints are equipped to fan out and impact the world with the Gospel! The church is a big deal! Becoming a member of CRC is simple:
We receive new members based on their confession of faith and baptism. (If baptism is needed, we’ll happily provide!)
Those joining will be asked to meet with two leaders in our church. This will give us a chance to just to get to know the new families better, answer any questions, and explain our church covenant and leadership pledge. These meetings are normally lots of fun! To facilitate these meetings, we request that the new member Submit a Membership Registration Online (or request a hard copy from the church office).
The new members will then be introduced to the church on a Sunday and receive their membership plaque! (Another fun time!)
Finally, we ask new members to complete our New Member Orientation online class within 6 months of joining. Although not a condition for membership, this class consists of teachings on the various areas of our church, including our Scriptural mandate, vision, government, basic doctrine, distinctives, and heart for lost people. New members will also receive a suggested reading list. Every new member will be “assigned” a CRC deacon to help in this process and provide care and support.
That’s it! Will you join us?
