Why is there so much confusion and rebellion? We reject God’s very words. The very Words of the LORD of Hosts. How can there not be?
Eschewing the simplest of holy Commands, we have built lives with contrary, man-centered doctrines.
Because we have built so, tearing down what we have sinfully built would mean change on a massively large scale…life disruption and overwhelming faith unheard of in most of our lives. But that is precisely what we need to do.
Instead of fearfully and with heartfelt repentance acknowledging our wrong, we obfuscate and misdirect. We blame “interpretations" and suggest “God could not have possible meant that.”
Hath God said? He has. Most of what He has spoken is very clear.
We have rejected God’s very Words for men, women, home life, church life, marriage, parenting, money, holiness, discipline, idolatry, and on and on.
2020 should have taught us humility. We should be running (not walking!) back to Scripture!
We aren’t.
