Divided and the Gospel

Great words by my friend Scott Brown!

Parents, don't forget why we brought our children into the main services!  Don't forget the honor and responsibility of both setting them before the preaching of the Gospel AND ministering the same at home.

Deut 6:6-7 ESV  And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  (7)  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

You can do it!

Love ya!

The Playbook!

What in the world happened to the church?  Where is her clarion call for righteousness?  Where is her authority?  Where is her courage to speak boldly into the critical issues of our day?  Where is her faith that the Word of God will not return empty?

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isa 55:10–11)

I submit, dear reader, that the church has lost her prophetic voice.

We are at the point now where we can hardly discern the impact of righteousness on the nation.  As I write, over 53 million babies have been aborted in the United States of America since 1973.  States are enthusiastically voting for gay “marriage” as easily as viewers vote for their favorite American Idol.  Humanism and her first cousin, Paganism, seem to reign supreme.  Government schools indoctrinate over 90 percent of American children to embrace perversity, evolution, ungodly sexuality, and immodest dress.  Television and radio are as raunchy as ever, and even Christian music and entertainment seem to have this love affair with the world.

Consider this: There are about 300,000 churches in America; 300,000 army outposts for Christ, the King and Ruler of the universe; 300,000 groups of elders who are boldly declaring God’s Words, right?  How in the world can 300,000 churches in a country of 30 million be doing this badly?  Has God abandoned us?  I don’t think He has.  Perhaps, we have abandoned Him.

---------------

Friends, these are the opening words from introduction of my new book, The Playbook.  And I'm asking for your help.

I believe the message of the book is so timely and so needed that I'm going outside my comfort zone and actually requesting that you not only consider getting a copy, but also consider giving one (or several) to another leader, pastor, politician or other civic leader, or friend.  I really do believe in what we wrote this much.

Fellow leader, if the church is to recapture her prophetic voice, the Gospel must be Reclaimed, Holiness must be Reestablished, the Family must be Reformed, the Church must get Ready through biblical Stewardship for what lies ahead, and Trust in Church Leaders must be Restored.  We must purposely teach our children (and adults too for that matter!) a Biblical Worldview.  We must repent of misusing God's Word and once again cry aloud and spare not!

If you know me, you know it's not about money.  It's about message...His message.  The book is self-published.  If God does anything with this "five loaves and two fish" effort, it would certainly be by His grace alone!  Would you please consider helping in this effort?  Would you consider forwarding the book link to someone who might be interested?

May the Lord's Name be praised.  May Christ alone receive the honor.  May He be pleased with our efforts to obey and love Him.

Thanks for reading! :)
